This course introduces graduate art students to the teaching of art at the post-secondary level. The primary methods include facilitated discussions, readings, and projects centered on topics related to post-secondary art teaching. Readings, guest speakers, and co-facilitated sessions initiate and expand on the course topics. A portion of this course includes an individualized program of study that includes research, readings, curricular development, arranged observations and teaching experience, and teaching related to the student’s specific area of concentration. The final project is the creation of a teaching portfolio.
